FAQ
Due to its mild winters and hot summers, Victoria Falls makes a terrific year-round vacation. That being said the falls flow at their highest rate from February to May and the temperature is pleasant.
High Water lasts from February to July, peaking in March and April. During this time, a one-meter rise in the Zambezi river’s level causes a five-meter rise in the level of the water pushed down the valley. As seen from the air, the dense, rainbow-filled spray that is being thrown up is spectacular.
Low Water extends from August to January, with its lowest point occurring between late November and early December. When the spray and fall of water is low, tourists may fully appreciate the Victoria Falls’ geological formation and their entire length and width. The Zambezi River, offers wonderful white water rafting when the water level in the gorge decreases. The Devil’s Pool is also a fantastic place to swim at this time of year.
Summer
