Clive Wood was born in Zimbabwe, and moved to the United States in his early 30's where he had his own design, build, construction business in the San Francisco Bay Area. He decided to combine his skills with his passion for travel to create The Courtney Boutique Lodge - a luxurious sanctuary that has quickly become one of the most sought-after destinations for discerning travelers.
With his years of experience in construction, Clive was able to carefully design and build every aspect of The Courtney to ensure that it was not only visually stunning but also structurally sound. From the foundation to the finishing touches, no detail was overlooked in creating this exceptional lodge. Leslie Adler is an integral part of The Courtney Boutique Lodge. Having been born and raised in the United States, she developed a passion for Zimbabwe after years of traveling with her late husband in Africa. She brings her own unique talents and skills to the table, with a particular focus on design. Leslie's eye for design is truly impeccable, and it can be seen throughout every aspect of The Courtney. From the carefully curated artwork on the walls to the luxurious fabrics and finishes, every detail has been chosen with care to create a cohesive and visually stunning experience for guests. Meet Clever Mashonganyika, the Lodge Manager at The Courtney Lodge in Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe. Born in Kwekwe, Clever brings extensive experience in safari, hospitality, and tourism management, making him the perfect guide for guests seeking exceptional accommodation in Victoria Falls.
With qualifications in Tourism and Business Management, Clever started his career at some of Zimbabwe’s most iconic safari lodges. His journey has taken him through luxury mobile safaris and high-end safari lodges, where he honed his skills in delivering top-tier hospitality and embraced diverse cultural experiences. This wealth of knowledge and global perspective is what he now channels into creating an unforgettable stay for visitors at The Courtney.
Based in Victoria Falls, a world-renowned destination celebrated for its stunning natural beauty, wildlife, and well-maintained environment, Clever is deeply connected to the local area. He enjoys meeting travelers from all over the globe, learning about their cultures, and sharing the magic of Victoria Falls.
